Steven William Stowell, CMA

Vice President, Board of Directors

Steven William Stowell is a lifelong resident of the Northeast Kingdom and serves as Vice President of the CMNEK Board. A Certified Medical Assistant with a long-standing commitment to social equity and community health, Steven previously served on the boards of the AIDS Community Awareness Project (ACAP) and the Northeast Kingdom branch of the Vermont Workers' Center.

Steven joined the CMNEK Board in support of the museum's founding vision—a place where children can connect to the rich history and daily life of past generations in the Kingdom. He brings a deep local knowledge and passion for honoring both well-known and overlooked cultural moments, from the Kay Welch Dancers to the pioneering girls of local Little League.

An artist at heart, Steven is a longtime supporter of Catamount Arts, a dedicated paint-and-sip painter, and a karaoke enthusiast. His favorite place in the world is Lake Willoughby, a serene gem of the NEK that inspires his love for the region and its natural beauty. He currently lives in Saint Johnsbury.
