Volunteer – Technology & Facilities Support
Scott Metivier is a founding volunteer of the Children’s Museum of the Northeast Kingdom, where he supports the museum’s technical systems, exhibit infrastructure, and hands-on construction projects.
He holds an engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), a Master’s degree in Information Technology, and a certificate in the MERN Technology Stack from MIT. At CMNEK, he helps design and maintain the museum’s digital infrastructure while also contributing carpentry skills to build durable, interactive exhibit components. He regularly volunteers during open hours and is also a financial supporter of the museum’s mission.
He was drawn to CMNEK by the desire to help create a joyful, imaginative space where his grandchildren—and children throughout the Northeast Kingdom—can play, explore, and grow.
Outside of the museum, he enjoys strategy board games (and has an extensive collection) and performs in community theater productions. He lives in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
